Home Visits

Some new parents have difficulty making our groups, so we also offer weekly home visits. Each visit is an hour long, and we work with you and your infant together. During these visits, we help you understand what your infant is trying to teach you.  All new parents struggle with this, and it forms the basis of your relationship with your child.  We will help you learn.  We’ll be your village.

Even infants are “hard-wired” to communicate and try to establish a relationship.  When you respond to your child’s efforts to communicate with you, you teach him that you understand him. It is hard to overestimate the importance of this crucial early lesson.  Attachment research has shown that it helps establish a secure, loving, and coherent parent-child relationship.  Your child will use this relationship as a model for the rest of his life.
